Cleaning Day Playlist

The first step to cleaning your home is turning on some tunes! And if it’s not, it should be! Whether you are home alone and blasting your music or you have some headphones in so you don’t bother your roommates, music is going to get you through all your boring household chores. Cleaning is much more fun if you can get lost in your favorite songs and enjoy your time! The days are too short to not be enjoying every minute! Here are a few great go-to songs to add to your cleaning day playlist!

Richard Simmons
He is known for the pumped-up, high energy! You can’t go wrong here if you need a little (or big) energy boost to get you going! Throw on any one of his songs (a video on the tv would be even better) and get goin’!

Smooth Criminal- Michael Jackson
It’s always fun to put on a song to dance around to and sing every word that we all know by heart! Age aside, Michael Jackson is a classic we can all appreciate.

Firework- Katy Perry
Be careful with this one, it will guaranteed be stuck in your head for the rest of the day and for a good reason! This song is one of the most catchy, uplifting songs around. Among a lot of other songs by Katy!

Livin’ on a Prayer- Bon Jovi
Every time this song comes on, you just can’t not sing along! I’m sure we all have good memories attached to this song. Another song that just won’t get old! Not to mention, a great song to sing into your broom-microphone!

Can’t Stop the Feeling- Justin Timberlake
Not only is this song great to get your movin’ while you’re cleaning your home, this song is great for car karaoke! (Ask my friends and family). Ever since Justin Timberlake’s NYSNC days, he has always put out great music!

Music brings so many positives to our lives as we know. It elevates your mood, lessens anxiety and stress, and just makes you feel good! Especially upbeat songs such as the ones above. My favorite part of the day is when I have time by myself when I get home from a day of work, I put on some music on my tv to play throughout my apartment, dance around with my dog then clean a couple things for the day. This not only improves your mood but it helps you keep up on your otherwise boring, repetitive housework. I hope this helps you next time you are dreading getting to work on your dishes or mopping those floors!
